Cost of motoring forces women to consider more economical cars (Mar 01)

Research has found women are considering changing their car to a more economical model. And, as a result of the recent increases in the cost of motoring, more than one-in-eight women are considering giving up their cars altogether.

A third of women drivers would consider using public transport for journeys that they would otherwise do by car, and just under 60 per cent would consider walking or cycling as an alternative mode of transport.
